  1.    This is a sequence of Franz Liszt's "Todtentanz", a
  2. paraphrase on the Dies Irae for piano and orchestra.
  3. It is intended for performance on a Proteus 2 and a
  4. piano module. If you use another synth which has a piano
  5. program, you will probably have polyphony problems,but
  6. in any case you should be able to combine some tracks
  7. to fit the piano into the 16-channel MIDI scheme (I
  8. use a separate MIDI Out for the piano).

  10.    All instruments have been transposed to C. Note that
  11. the Tremolo Strings track play Arco Cellos from bars
  12. 66-69.

  14.    I wish to thank and acknowledge Jeffrey Reid Baker
  15. who sequenced this work for his album "Lisztonique".
  16. He generously gave me a copy of his original sequence
  17. to study. Inasmuch as A) he used syths that I don't have
  18. (and few people do any more) for the orchestral parts
  19. and B) didn't follow the score precisely, I sequenced all
  20. the orchestral parts myself and, with his permission, borrowed
  21. about 15% of his piano track for this sequence. I also studied
  22. his pedalling for inclusion in the piano track, as I usually
  23. leave this feature out unless indicated in the score.
